Practice Philosophy
Working in a fast-paced academic medical environment as a general psychiatrist and, more recently, beginning additional training to specialize in the care of older adults (geriatric psychiatry), one is constantly confronted with concepts of the Self and personhood. Among my takeaways is that much of our concept for who we are and how the world comes to know and understand us starts with neurological processes; and those internal processes are constantly being influenced by our environment. So while finding a tailored medication plan is key to the care and recovery of many individuals in my practice, so too is exploring and facilitating various forms of biopsychosocial enrichment that reflect the individual values of those whom I am fortunate enough to serve.

Creative Projects
Before stepping away to focus on medical studies, I completed my bachelors in voice performance and began working in Chicago. Years later, I still enjoy personal music study and performance when the chance presents. Click the link below to read a little more about my creative path.
